As I sat at the dining table, gazing at Birdie, I noticed something strange about 'her'. A very active bird, it was not surprising that she's awake at that hour. However, she seems to be extremely restless and was pacing about her cage and pausing for a few seconds in between. Whenever she paused, it looked like she was going to 'poo' but on closer look, nothing came out from her bottom. This behaviour continued for about 3 minutes when I finally decided that it's abnormal and went to wake hubby.
He too felt that she was behaving strangely. She was also making some kind of 'wheezing' sound.
I took a peek at her bottom as I wondered if she was feeling constipated or something when I saw 'something' instead.
Something white peeking from her anus.
Then, PROOP! Out came an egg!!!
An EGG!!! She laid an EGG right in front of our eyes! We were dumbfounded and stunned momentarily.
Now we know for sure that she is definitely a GIRL!

That Birdie who actually attempted to "take advantage" of me laid an EGG?!? Birdie is going to be a mother??
So when is Birdie Junior coming into this world? Is the egg ever going to hatch??

Haha...poor birdie won't be a mother as yet until we've found someone to be her partner ;)
Fertilised egg or not, it was still an exciting moment when that happened! :D
At least it confirmed our guess on her gender heheee...
Um.. what did you do with the egg?
It fell off our kitchen countertop in the night and had a crack, so we threw it away... :|
I wonder how it rolled off...
ohhh... so interesting! pity it cracked :(
