Today marks the new beginning for academic year 2007. At first glance, the students in my new class looked kinda tiny when they were seated at the parade square. Perhaps it was the same when I first saw my P4s last year. However, they seemed to have all grown up so quickly that I suddenly realise they were all much bigger than before.
Anyway, this bunch of kids looked pretty intelligient (they are supposed to be the most challenging ones to handle).
Since this is the first day, I gather that they had not completely warmed up to me and hence had not shown my their "true colours" yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
Of all, there are a few prominent & promising ones whom I can depend on, some outspoken ones, some chatty ones, some gloomy ones (no hint of a smile on their faces) and some extremely helpful ones.
I am often caught in a dilemma of whether or not to protray a very stern image. I guess without playing any ice-breaking games, I had chosen to start the year on a more serious note.
One girl asked my about my expectations of P4s and I did not have a model answer in mind. Discipline was one main expectation, I had said and the rest they would soon figure out for themselves. Heh.
If I were to list my expectations, it would surely be a long one.

You make me wanna go into teaching sometimes...
It may not be the most sort after jobs but it can certainly be a fulfilling one ;)
When is that teaching seminar again? Yor job sounds fulfilling alright. Can you tell I am dissatisfied with mine? :P
Seats to the teaching seminar always gets snapped up very quickly. However, there seems to be a couple in a year. Recently, I saw the tv advert. Unlikely to have any seats left though. Will msg u when I see one again on TV :)
