Sparks, or "Hua1 Huo3" is the song that I will be playing this evening. It's a cantonese number by Gigi Leung. Always loved the piano interlude and hence had picked this song as a prelude to my ETP (I think it's End of Term Performance?)
One week ago, I had so little confidence because I couldn't focus on singing and playing at the same time that I reacted rather strongly when hub told me he had invited HF and even asked her to record the perf. On thinking back, instead of thanking him for the thought (cos he won't be able to be back in time for the perf), I had really overacted :
Fortunately, I just found out that I had 3 more lessons to my ETP!!! This time round I would be graded or something. I've gotta choose a "challenging" song to showcase but I have no idea what to play yet. With all the trips, I'm only left with 3 lessons. It's kind of freaky thinking of that. Temporarily settled on Xin Bu Liao Qing but thought it would be nice to either play a song for hub to sing or a popular number by Stefanie.
Guess I've made the right choice to agree to play a song tonight. At least I have an idea of how nerve-wrecking it is to be playing 'live' to a crowd :
Find that meeting up with Linda these days feels different (in a good way) hehe. I can't describe that feeling just that it feels like we are really old pals meeting up once in a long while because we are all busy with our lives and yet the closeness is still strongly felt.
I wonder how many of my dear friends can I catch up with this Dec. I've only 2 weeks minus all the overseas trip. Anyhow, I shall not use that as an excuse ;)
Okie, 3 more hours to go! Shall be back to update you on the experience :))
